Our owner handbook indicate that the engine grade to use is 5w30. Will it be too thin for a turbo engine running hot in Singapore climate?
Do u use castrol as recommended by landrover or u use other brand like Mobil one?
also what is the interval that u change engine oil? 15k as recommended in the owner handbook or 10k?
thanks.

Bro
Go with Land Rover's recommendation and go back to Wearnes. They'll sort out the engine oil for you at the same time and mine was on Castrol.
Btw, 5W30 isn't thin on LPT(light pressure turbo). ;-)

My package do not come with free servicing hence I do the servicing at my usual workshop. Anyway I use Mobil one 5w30. Fuel efficiency is better, it seems. Do u know where to get the servicing frequency of various parts, e.g. When to change air filter, gearbox oil, steering fluid etc?
Thanks

Bro, u bought ur ride recently ya? U shd go back to Wearnes to preserve the warranty eventhough your ride don't come with free servicing package. Wearnes have the right not to fulfil any warranty claims if it's not service by them.

Wearnes have the right not to fulfil any warranty claims if it's not service by them. Yup, bought the ride 6 months ago. Yes, they do have the rights but they would have to proof that it is due to simple changing of engine oil and filter. All Ad in Singapore will play this sort of claims to ensure that they can earn more. Besides, the wearnes package only service the car every 15000km. I would want it to be service every 10000km.

Oic, so you'll just go back for their major servicing?
where do you go for your 3rd party servicing anyway? So you buy your own oil filter too?
