A super cool invention which will really help during off-roading
Invisible cars may seem like one of the less believable inventions in Die Another Day, but now they are a reality thanks to Land Rover.
Land Rover is working on a car where the bonnet is made transparent - allowing you to see the terrain beneath the vehicle.
The transparency is actually simulated by filming the underneath of the vehicle and projecting it on to the 4x4's bonnet.
The British marque's Transparent Bonnet virtual imaging concept uses a Head-Up Display (HUD) which overlays the image in your field of vision.
It also makes your drive rather like an arcade game as digital compass, steering position and gradient information float before your eyes like icons on a screen.
Like a cloaking device, the technology can be turned on and off when required.
