I'm contemplating to buy a 6yrs old L.R. Freelancer 2. Can some old timer advise me what to look out for on the engine check as well as the maintenance of this babe?

Welcome, the older version FR2 got many issues. The last batch of 3.2 liters model are preferred as most of the issues has been iron out. If i can recalled should be 2007 production onwards. You can trying calling wearnes whether they can assist to inspect the car before purchase. Becareful when buying used car, make sure the dealers got the ownership of the car and not from leasing company.
