hi all,
i'm looking to own a range rover evoque soon, coming from a mini cooper s! the depreciation of used vehicles seem a little steep, so probably looking at a new pure ver from wearnes. downside is that it only comes with 18" wheels and no moonroof!
so quick questions:
- is the moonroof worth the while? it's a $12k top up! - where can i get 20" rims (at a decent price)? is there a need to get range rover rims, or will anything do? what tires are recommended? i currently use Michelin PSS but not sure if these are good for an SUV. - where can i retrofit the rear bumper of the Dynamic trim? is it worth the while/costs?
thanks and hi once again!

Welcome!! The moonroof is good to have it but probably your passenger will enjoy the view not you . As for rims you can try Top93 at ubi.

For stock 20" tyres, the profile is 245/40/20 , model wise not too sure cos I came from sedan so not sure about SUV performance tyres. Can check csc 5, pss , Eagle F1 asym 2.... Hope you get your ride soon.

Not sure if it's worth the while to get it installed. 12k! Heard it's less noisy than the steel roof in the rain. got difference? When in sunny singapore will it be uncomfortable? For rims I'm Prob going to get the original 20" rims coated in black from ebay UK.

Welcome supernova! I'm driving an evoque (dynamic) now with the panoramic glass roof. It makes a huge difference to the passengers in the rear (though not much difference for the front passenger and driver). Back in 2012, the addition of the roof cost 8k.
As for tires, I'll be changing to PSS (255/45/20) once the stock wears out. Currently on aftermarket wheels, 20x9, et40.

Hi Supernova, welcome aboard, the moon roof is a good to have, there is a few occasion of it cracking, but its solved with a more flexy glass, as when going off road our chassis do get twisted around.
Regarding your rim choice, any shop worth its salt will be able to assist, try not to get cheap Taiwan rims as its not worth the $ to strength, Tyre wise, you need to also know where you are bringing your ride to, or just city driving? if its for city driving, there is a lot of choice, but be careful of the load rating, and if you are looking for some weekend fun up north, I suggest getting something more SUV oriented, for now I'm running Bridsgestone HP Sports, but Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asm, Yokohama Parada spec X, Michelin Latitude sport, Continental cross contact ,all are reputable with the Michelin wearing out the fastest.
Rear bumper can be ordered thru wearnes spare parts store, but it will look out of place, but its best to order them as a front, rear, spoiler, side trim set. Not cheap though. might need to sell kidney to Wearnes.
Advise is to know where you are bringing your ride to, it seems like your ride is gonna be in the sgp streets and not going anywhere off the blacktop.
